     As Amy raucously shuffled into the kitchen the numbers on the stove clock changed to 11:11 am.  Make a wish.  You’ll need it,I thought as she flung her lifeless body into a chair at the kitchen table.  I knew these motions well.   I was no stranger to the shuffling into the kitchen for her favourite hangover breakfast, vanilla yogurt and fruit loops.  As part of her ritual she would mash the fruit loops into a fine powder using the back of her spoon.  She would proceed to mix the rainbow powder with the yogurt and eat the concoction in spoonful

 She slip-slides across the hardwood floor in her white cotton socks as though the floor were made of ice.  Before sliding haphazardly into the room on the right at the end of the hall she flashes him a toothy grin that begs him to follow.  He obeys by slowly ambling down the hall in an attempt to look cool.  The attempt was wasted for all the other party goers were in the kitchen playing Quarters.  He crosses the threshold into the room and is greeted only by darkness.  He gropes the wall to find a light switch but gives up when he hears a giggle. “I couldn’t find the light switch
